Genomics
Genome is the total genetic content of cells, the whole set of inherited nucleic acids of an organism made of DNA. Genomics encompasses various technologies used to discover
and characterize genes like understanding gene expression, gene function and the selection and validation of genes leading to the design of efficacious and specific drugs.

Gene Design and Synthesis

NanoBioServices is gives its customers the services of gene synthesis. We synthesize  and clone genes in the vector of your choice. Gene optimization is done to achieve higher productivity and stability in the host. We also synthesize genes using sequence information provided by the customer and clone into one of our standard vectors - pUC based vectors or TA vectors. We then sequence both strands of the gene.  Genome or chromosome Walking

NanoBioServices offers isolation of unknown target sequences upstream or downstream of known sequences in genomic DNA, cDNA (total RNA), and clones (BAC, plasmids).
Here upstream or downstream genomic sequences can represent the flanking regions or TSS(translation start sites, along with other gene regulating sequences.

Southern Blotting Platform

As part of its genetic stability testing panel, NanoBioServices offers the traditional Southern blotting technique. A probe specific to the gene of interest is generated by PCR amplification or restriction digestion, then radioactively labeled. Total DNA is extracted from the test articles and host cells using organic extraction methods, then digested with appropriate restriction enzymes that cut predictively within the expression cassette and randomly within the host genome. Restriction fragments are electrophoresed on agarose gel, denatured, transferred to membrane, and hybridized to radiolabeled probe. Band densities are visualized using an Alpha imager and quantitated using spot densitometry.
